Welcome to Locudent. By accessing or using our mobile application or online platform (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using our services.



1. Definitions
• “Locudent” – The technology provider offering the Platform that connects dental practices (“Clients”) with locum dental professionals (“Locums”).
• “Client” – Any practice, organisation, or entity using the Platform to post vacancies or hire Locums.
• “Locum” – Any person using the Platform to find and undertake temporary dental assignments.
• “Job Undertaking” – A temporary working engagement between a Client and a Locum arranged through the Platform.
• “Services” – Scheduling, booking tools, user accounts, notifications, messaging, and other support services provided by Locudent.
• “User Content” – Any data, documents, communications, or materials uploaded by users.
• “Losses” – Any direct, indirect, special, consequential, or financial damages.



2. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:
• Provide accurate, up-to-date information when posting job details.
• Ensure all workplace facilities comply with health & safety, HTM 01-05, and CQC standards.
• Supply Locums with appropriate induction, training, and access where required.
• Carry out appropriate checks on Locum qualifications if needed.
• Verify Locum attendance and hours (if using attendance features).

Clients must not provide discriminatory job criteria or act in a way that brings Locudent into disrepute.



3. Locum Responsibilities

Locums agree to:
• Perform all work in line with Good Practice and GDC Standards.
• Maintain valid GDC registration, right-to-work documentation, and professional indemnity insurance.
• Act professionally and responsibly during all engagements.
• Notify Clients of any unavailability or delays as soon as possible.
• Take full clinical responsibility for all work performed.

Locums must supply proof of qualifications when required.



4. Independent Contractor Status (IR35 Compliance)

Locums are independent contractors, not employees of Locudent.

Locums are solely responsible for:
• Tax and National Insurance
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Compliance with laws, regulations, and clinical standards

Locudent does not supervise or control clinical work.



5. Booking Agreement (Per Assignment)

When a Locum accepts a booking, the following apply:

a) Assignment Details

Displayed in-app at booking:
• Date, start/end time
• Agreed rate
• Practice location
• Specific requirements

b) Attendance & Punctuality

Locums must attend on time. Repeated lateness or no-shows may result in suspension.

c) Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations within a specified timeframe may incur cancellation fees.
• Repeated cancellations may lead to restrictions on future bookings.

d) Dispute Resolution

Disputes must follow the Platform’s dispute procedure.



6. Code of Conduct

All users must:
• Behave respectfully and professionally.
• Not engage in discrimination, harassment, or misuse of the Platform.
• Maintain integrity and provide accurate information.

Breaches may lead to suspension or permanent removal.



7. Liability

Locudent:
• Is a technology platform only
• Does not employ, manage, or supervise Locums
• Is not responsible for clinical outcomes or any disputes between Clients and Locums

Users agree to indemnify Locudent against:
• Clinical work issues
• Workplace conditions
• Violations of these Terms

Locudent is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses.



8. Non-Solicitation

Clients must not engage with Locums outside the Platform for 12 months after the last assignment.



9. Termination

Locudent may terminate or suspend any user account:
• For breach of these Terms
• For misuse of the Platform
• If the user becomes ineligible
• After long periods of inactivity

Users terminated for breaches must not attempt to re-register.



10. Force Majeure

Locudent is not liable for delays caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, pandemics, power failures, or network issues.



11. Acceptance

By using the Platform, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
